A little about myself and my approach
Hey, I'm Steve . . .
When we got married, my girlfriend and I were on a pretty tight budget. To save a little on the pictures, we hired an aspiring amateur photographer who hoped to start a wedding photography business. He also happened to be a highway patrolman at the time. Not too surprisingly, the images all came out looking a bit like crime-scene photos. We’ve been married a long time now, and still get a good laugh every time we think of them! (The story is a lot funnier than the photos themselves.)Â
As a photographer myself now, I think the best wedding photography isn’t about turning the day into photoshoot. It’s about capturing all the in-between gestures, the expressions, the beautiful moments. I think your wedding should be all about living and enjoying the day as it happens. I’ll take care of preserving the memories.
THE WORK
It’s the real, honest moments that will tell your story. And it’s those moments you’ll look at years from now to remember how you felt this day. The wedding day is all about you, not setting up a photoshoot, or chasing “Instagram moments”. The most meaningful images aren’t staged – they’re felt. Years from now, when your kids, (or maybe even your grandkids) ask you what your wedding day was like, these are the images you’ll come back to.
